Weekend Recap :: Food Love at The Brooklyn Flea
While I may be in London at the moment doing a bit of food "market research" (Nourish has some big plans brewing!), I thought I'd give a nice taste of what I'd be doing if I were in NYC this weekend--food-loving it up at The Brooklyn Flea. The Flea has just launched Smorgasburg on Saturdays at it's Williamsburg location on N. 6th. Over 100 food vendors and artisans, all local, all pretty damn awesome. I mean, it's foodie heaven 10 times over. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I snapped these shots below at the Flea a few Sundays ago, many of the vendors here will be holding strong at Smorgasburg. Happy tasting!
More about my findings in London in the next day or two!

Lovely and super fresh blood orange and hibiscus syrups from The Stand - great for cocktails or paired straight with club soda.
Killer mayo flavors from Empire—perfect for a big flavor boost with just a tiny smear.
All-natural soda from Brooklyn Soda Works.

Rocking salsa from Brooklyn Salsa Company, pizza from a truck (well, sort of) from Pizza Moto and the gorgeous, gorgeous bread from Scratch Bread
